A Member Services Associate is the team member who keeps the Chamber running smoothly. They collaborate with the Executive Director to manage membership and operations. They also collaborate with the Marketing and Outreach Specialist to ensure the community knows about the Chamber and the Brookline business community. A successful Member Services Associate is a little bookkeeper mixed with an event planner mixed with a marketing assistant.
The ideal candidate has experience using Quick Books. Is someone who can prioritize tasks, takes initiative, likes to coordinate several projects at once, is kind, has a good sense of humor, and enjoys interacting with and being part of the community. Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and conscientious.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing ongoing administrative work such as mailings, billing, processing payments, database updating, and ordering supplies. They will also help answer the phones, create flyers and graphics as needed in coordination with the Marketing and Outreach Specialist, data entry into QuickBooks, and assisting with event planning and execution. Other office tasks as needed.
Experience and Skills Desired:
2-4 years working in an office environment.
Experience as the first point of contact for phone inquiries and business activities.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word and Excel required. Powerpoint is desirable.
Knowledge of Quickbooks, accounts receivable/billing.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
